Quick & Easy Hearty Beef Soup Recipe | Chinese Style

Hi friends! Today we are making a quick and easy hearty beef soup. It is great for a lunch or a quick dinner. Our family usually eat it with steamed rice or toasts. It is very flavorful and full of vegetables and protein.

20-25 mins Total Cooking Time - 4 Servings
Hearty Beef Soup Ingredients:
- About 1lb of Beef (any kind of cuts will do)
-3 ribs of western celery or a small bunch of Chinese leaf celery
- 10 stems of cilantro

Spices and Stock:
1/8 teaspoon of white pepper, ground sichuan pepper, chinese 5 spice and black pepper;
1 teaspoon of dried onion powder

Soup Base:
4 tomatoes or 1 can (16oz) of tomatoes
1 tablespoon of sugar
3 cups of chicken or beef stock
* if the stock you use is salt-free, add about 1 teaspoon of salt to the soup. Adjust the salt amount for your taste.

Two tricks:
1. Dice the veggies and the meat into small cubes to save cooking time and better flavor.
2. Quickly brown the meat with the veggies first and take them out to prevent over cooking.
